A Series of 4 Online Sessions Starting April 16 or October 1, 2025
Register Early! Course size is limited.
Certificate Overview
You have training needs that can’t wait for a typical development cycle, and your learners can’t get sufficient time away from their jobs to complete training. So how can you make training that is short yet useful — and how can you make it fast? In this hands-on certificate, we’ll explore examples of microlearning that range from videos and games to application exercises and learn what was involved in the planning and execution. Learn how to structure a microlearning lesson without skimping on practical, helpful information. You'll also gain new strategies to apply in your own organization when demands are increasing and deadlines are tight. Explore how to create a laser-focused course outline that meets a specific business need; how to fine-tune your goals, target audience, content, and teaching methods to be most effective in a microlearning format. You’ll learn to distinguish between nice-to-have and must-have elements; match the right instructional and media strategies to fit your course, timeline and budget; and how to use teamwork and resources creatively when time and/or money are in short supply. You’ll leave with a microlearning lesson you have designed from scratch.
This is not a software course. This certificate focuses on content development, design, and delivery. It is not about authoring tools or software. It does not promote a singular product but rather uses multiple products for illustration purposes. The course will focus on elearning and performance support systems rather than classroom training.
Bonus Items:
You'll work on
your own microlearning lesson and have the opportunity to present it during the final session for feedback from your peers and the course instructor.
Prerequisites:
