Articulate Storyline Certificate: Next Level 2
Articulate Storyline is a robust and powerful elearning authoring environment. You can develop highly customized experiences with its default features. But what if you wanted to take your ideas to a more complex level? This certificate course builds on existing intermediate Storyline skills by introducing complex combinations of interactive experiences, thinking through logic, and game-level thinking. This certificate course provides the hands-on practice to dive deeper and elevate your skills to develop more advanced interactions and experiences. We will explore the logical thinking around exploratory navigation, scenario development models, calculator-type interactions, and gamification scoring. The course will build your confidence with conditional triggering and variable programming, which will provide you with many tips and techniques you can immediately apply to your projects.

During this certificate course Kevin will guide you, step-by-step, through the process of using Articulate Storyline to build effective and appealing elearning. Session assignment(s) will be integrated into each one hour segment – teach/demos for 40-45 minutes with 10-15 minutes to practice. This approach will allow you to practice the concepts taught in that previous segment while still fresh on your mind. At the end of a session (3 hours), additional practice files will be distributed for continued self-paced practice between sessions.
Prerequisites:
Each of the Articulate Storyline certificate courses is designed to stand alone with no prerequisite. However, we recommend that you complete our Articulate Storyline Fundamentals Certificate and the Articulate Storyline Next Level 1 Certificate before registering for this Articulate Storyline Next Level 2 course. If you had completed our Articulate Storyline for Next Level Design course through 2023, then you're ready for our Articulate Storyline Certificate Next Level 2 course.
Who Should Attend:
This certificate is for those who have mastered the basic features of Storyline such as story view, scenes, slides, layers, triggers, the timeline, importing assets, and creating simple quizzes and interactions. This certificate assumes you also have a basic understanding of variable programming.
Important:
If you do not have a licensed copy of Articulate Storyline, you must download a complimentary trial version prior to the start of the course no sooner than 1-2 days before the class so that the trial does not expire prior to completing the course and related homework assignments. Your trial period for this software is 30 days from the time you install. Therefore, we recommend that you install the trial version no more than one or two days prior to the first session. All versions of Articulate Storyline are independent of each other and all can be installed on the same computer. While the current version can support previous versions of software, they are not backward compatible. Each new version of Articulate Storyline has new features.
MAC Users: Articulate Storyline is only a Windows-based program. Currently, there is no version specifically for a Mac. However, you can run Storyline on a Mac. For Intel-based Macs you can run Storyline with Parallels, VMware Fusion, or Boot Camp. For M-series Macs (M1 or M2), you can only use Parallels with Windows 11 Arm.
Microsoft no longer provides support for Windows 10 Arm. As a result, Windows 10 is no longer supported in Parallels Desktop on Mac computers with Apple M-series chips. However, Windows 11 should be fully compatible with all applications that Windows 10 is compatible with.
