This course equips you with the skills to create a high-impact training department that drives organizational success through data-driven decision-making, effective leadership, and innovative learning products. You’ll learn to assess the alignment of training initiatives with organizational goals, manage budgets, and measure the return on expectations (ROE) for key learning programs. The course also covers developing and managing learning products, including ensuring consistent quality and stakeholder collaboration. In addition, you will develop strategies for leading teams through implementation, resource management, and technology integration while fostering a culture of continuous learning. The hands-on approach of the course includes synchronous sessions and self-paced activities, giving you the tools you need to lead training teams, manage every aspect of the training function, and collaborate with peers to share insights and best practices.

Session 3: Planning and Supporting Initiative Implementations

Session 4: Leading with Vision: Building and Sustaining a Quality-Driven Learning Teams
  • Develop strategies for leading training teams effectively.

  • Implement leadership techniques to inspire and engage training teams.
  • Address team challenges with a focus on collaboration and the team’s mission .
  • Apply digital tools to support remote or hybrid leadership and communication with training teams.

During this certificate, you will participate in the four (4) sessions shown below. Each online sessions runs 1:00-4:00pm ET. In addition, approximately eight (8) hours, two hours per module, will be required for pre-course work, intercession assignments, and post-module reflection and action planning.

Session 1: Managing the Business of Training

  • Discover methods for calculating and presenting ROE (Return onn Expectations) for training, helping you communicate the value of your programs in clear terms.
  • Understand how to adapt training strategies to industry trends by monitoring market conditions that affect training needs.
  • Learn how to use your LMS for reporting and tracking, making the most of system capabilities to provide data-driven insights.

Session 2: Leading Teams in Creating Effective Learning Products

  • Learn practical strategies to lead teams in designing effective learning experiences that engage and support organizational goals.
  • Gain insights into how to ensure consistent quality in learning products by establishing simple standards and processes.
  • Explore how to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure training products align with business priorities and meet learner needs.

With Duets Learning, she’s worked with many companies on a variety of topics. She holds an MEd in curriculum studies, an MA in writing, and the CPTD and CQIA designations. IMPORTANT - You'll participate in online and collaborative activities in a number of ways, each designed to provide a unique means to interact and learn from experts and colleagues. All course delivery software operates at Internet connection speeds of 56.6 kbps or better, on PC, Mac and Unix platforms. Courses will use teleconferencing or VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol.) The login instructions emailed to you approximately one week prior to the start of the course will outline platform use as well as any headset requirements or suggestions. Each registrant must provide their own laptop or desktop computer and other equipment (such as a headset, if noted in your login instructions) in order to fully and successfully participate in the course.
