Certificate Overview

Certificate Overview

Articulate Storyline is a robust and powerful elearning authoring environment. You can develop highly customized experiences with its default features. But what if you wanted to take your ideas to a more complex level? This certificate course builds on existing intermediate Storyline skills by introducing complex combinations of interactive experiences, thinking through logic, and game-level thinking. This certificate course provides the hands-on practice to dive deeper and elevate your skills to develop more advanced interactions and experiences. We will explore the logical thinking around exploratory navigation, scenario development models, calculator-type interactions, and gamification scoring. The course will build your confidence with conditional triggering and variable programming, which will provide you with many tips and techniques you can immediately apply to your projects.

In this certificate you will learn to:

  • Think differently about how to leverage Storyline’s features in new creative ways.
  • Leverage Storyline’s Master Slides to calculate global conditions.
  • Use Layers to validate calculations and control navigation.
  • Leverage off-slide objects to act as additional functions to trigger variables.
  • Design adaptive quizzes, conditional feedback, and display custom results with relative scoring.
  • Design and map out custom scenarios with game-like consequences and reward branching.

See important 'Technical Requirements' below.

Bonus Items:

This is the only Articulate Storyline course offering you:

  • A focus on interaction design using Storyline’s features in smart, creative new ways.
  • Dozens of free Storyline source files for continued practice and self-paced learning
  • Detailed step-by-step exercises for self-paced learning.
  • Custom course templates.
  • Custom interactions templates.
  • Instruction blended with practical design and development guidance from an award-winning elearning developer with 20+ years of industry experience.

Course Details

During this certificate course Kevin will guide you, step-by-step, through the process of using Articulate Storyline to build effective and appealing elearning. Session assignment(s) will be integrated into each one hour segment – teach/demos for 40-45 minutes with 10-15 minutes to practice. This approach will allow you to practice the concepts taught in that previous segment while still fresh on your mind. At the end of a session (3 hours), additional practice files will be distributed for continued self-paced practice between sessions.

Each of the Articulate Storyline certificate courses is designed to stand alone with no prerequisite. However, we recommend that you complete our Articulate Storyline Fundamentals Certificate and the Articulate Storyline Next Level 1 Certificate before registering for this Articulate Storyline Next Level 2 course. If you had completed our Articulate Storyline for Next Level Design course through 2023, then you're ready for our Articulate Storyline Certificate Next Level 2 course.

Who Should Attend:
This certificate is for those who are the basic features of Storyline such as story view, scenes, slides, layers, triggers, the timeline, importing assets, and creating simple quizzes and interactions. This certificate assumes you also have a basic understanding of variable programming.

Technical Requirements
