Course Details:
During this certificate course Kevin will guide you, step-by-step, through the process of using Articulate Storyline to build effective and appealing elearning. Session assignment(s) will be integrated into each one hour segment – teach/demos for 40-45 minutes with 10-15 minutes to work on your assignment. This approach will allow you to practice the concepts taught in that previous segment while still fresh on your mind. At the end of a session (3 hours) a final assignment will be distributed for continued self-paced practice between sessions.

This certificate course is for those who are moderately experienced using Storyline to develop elearning. A solid understanding of elearning and of Storyline’s features and functions is required. A basic understanding of computing concepts (zipping/unzipping files, etc.) is also required. We recommend that you complete our Articulate Storyline Fundamentals Certificate course prior to registering for this course.

Who Should Attend:
The certificate is for those who are familiar with the basic features of Storyline such as story view, scenes, slides, layers, triggers, the timeline, importing assets, and creating simple quizzes and interactions.

Participants with either Storyline 3 or Storyline 360 can attend. All demonstrations are shown in Storyline 360.

If you do not have a licensed copy of Articulate Storyline, you must download a complimentary trial version prior to the start of the course at: no sooner than 1-2 days before the class so that the trial does not expire prior to completing the course and related homework assignments.

Your trial period for this software is 30 days from the time you install. Therefore, we recommend that you install the trial version no more than one or two days prior to the first session. All versions of Articulate Storyline are independent of each other and all can be installed on the same computer. While the current version can support previous versions of software, they are not backward compatible. Each new version of Articulate Storyline has new features.

Articulate Storyline is a Windows-based program. Currently there is no version specifically for a Mac. However, you can run Storyline on a Mac with Parallels, Boot Camp, or VMware Fusion virtual machine.   • Use Storyline to design both performance support aides (learn on need) and priority learning (must learn).
  • Leverage Storyline’s Master Slides to design custom user interfaces.
  • Use variables to design rich interactions and simulations.
  • Design complex quizzes including feedback and results screens.
  • Create custom interactions for a deeper level of learner understanding.

RAIN DATE: Friday, December 10, 2021. The "Rain Date" is a date to reserve on your calendar. It will be used in the unlikely event that an earlier session can not run as planned due to technical difficulties or a speaker emergency.

Each session is 3 hours in length.

IMPORTANT - You'll participate in online and collaborative activities in a number of ways, each designed to provide a unique means to interact and learn from experts and colleagues. All course delivery software operates at Internet connection speeds of 56.6 kbps or better, on PC, Mac and Unix platforms. Programs will use teleconferencing or VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol.) The login instructions emailed to you approximately one week prior to the start of the course will outline platform use as well as any headset requirements or suggestions. Each registrant must provide their own laptop or desktop computer and other equipment (such as a headset, if noted in your login instructions) in order to fully and successfully participate in the course. Please test your login information a minimum of 48 hours in advance on your course start date on the computer you will be using for the course.
