with Flash

- Chris Florio, Director IDV
Media/Passion Records; Professor Interactive Media, New England Institute
of Art
Learn to easily add the full range of Flash CS3 features to your e-learning program, including animation, graphics, images, sound, text, video, interactivity, land earning components.

This course will take you from the very first steps in Flash up to the point where they are able to create rich e-learning Web sites and applications that include:
- Graphics
- Text
- Animations
- Sound
- Video
- Interactivity
The course will show how to do basic design and animation in the Flash interface and how to work with Flash's Behaviors, components and Actionscript 3 to create Rich Media e-learning applications that perform the way you want them to.
Since Flash is the most widespread rich media player on the web, content created in Flash can be seen by most web users. This class will discuss all of the issues for creating Flash content that will work with all browsers and players and will touch on creating Flash applications for mobile devices. We will also discuss using Flash with other technologies and tools such as PowerPoint, databases and various server technologies.
You will create a variety of content in Flash including a sample e-learning project that includes animation, sound, video and testing tools.
NOTE: The course will use Flash CS3.
Participants who are not already using Flash CS3 are encouraged to download a free 30 day demo of the software from Adobe before the class begins. This can be found at: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash
Previous Flash experience is helpful but not required. You are expected to complete outside work between live class meetings.
