| Three Sessions starting November 18, 2008 |
Live & Online
Take your classroom training skills to a new level as you become a practitioner of Accelerated Learning. These time-tested, brain-compatible instructional strategies help you involve learners without wasting their time, or yours, during a training, workshop, or presentation. Whether you are a novice or experienced trainer, Accelerated Learning will give you the rationale, brain research, and proven training techniques that will enable you to keep learners engaged, motivated, and learning, even while covering dry, lengthy, or technical material. By participating in this Accelerated Learning program, you will combine what you already know about effective training with the best of Accelerated Learning strategies to create learning experiences that involve learners from the moment they walk into the room until they leave.
This high-energy, interactive online session will begin on November 18th 2008. See full schedule below. Register now for a training experience in which you will actually use Accelerated Learning strategies as you become an Accelerated Learning Practitioner!
Training Instructor Certificate:
Accelerated Learning in the Classroom

The course is comprised of (3) live online sessions and approximately 3 hours of "evening opportunities" (also called "homework"), part of which is to be completed after the online sessions end. During the online sessions, you will participate in activities and discussions that actually demonstrate many of the Accelerated Learning concepts you will be learning about. This program is the most interactive online learning experience you'll ever have - and all of it applicable to both classroom-based and computer-based training. Join us!

There will be three scheduled classes of 3 hours each, plus 3 hours of independent assignments outside of the scheduled class time.
Total time: 12 hours.

Learning Outcomes: After actively participating in this certificate program, you will be able to:
- Choose from over 24 Accelerated Learning instructional strategies that you can use with any topic, any size group, and any age learner.
- Use a variety of“interactive lecture” formats to liven up even the most technical, “dry,” or complex information.
- Apply brain research that is basic to Accelerated Learning - research that dramatically increases learners’ attention, involvement, and retention of the material being presented.
- Design training with the 4 Cs of Accelerated Learning - four steps that are based on the way people naturally learn, not the way they were made to learn.
- Identify 4 general learning styles or preferences, and “style-stretch” to meet the needs of each type of learner.
- Discuss the difference between “adult learning theory” and “human learning” - and why Accelerated Learning can be applied to all learners, regardless of age, culture, gender, nationality, or job specialization.
- Discover additional resources to enhance your understanding of Accelerated Learning.
- Explain the what, why, and how of Accelerated Learning to training colleagues.
- Lessen the time it takes to design, develop, and facilitate effective training that is learner-centered, not content-centered.
- Form your own “mastermind group” to continue sharing best practices with each other after the certificate program is over.

This certificate is designed for trainers with all levels of experience, instructional designers and facilitators, and anyone interested in Accelerated Learning and who trains, teaches, or facilitates learning.

This workshop "uses the things to teach the things," that is, it uses Accelerated Learning instructional strategies as you learn how to use these strategies in your own training. So you experience what you are learning about. As such, the methods include: individual and group activities and responses, short lecture segments, one-minute review activities, group discussions, personal reflection, independent "evening opportunities," and the 4 Cs Accelerated Learning instructional design model in action.
