Program Details: During this certificate program your instructor will guide you, step-by-step, through the process of using Articulate Storyline to build effective and appealing eLearning. Session assignment(s) will be integrated into each one hour segment – teach/demos for 40-45 minutes with 10-15 minutes to work on assignment. This approach will allow you to practice the concepts taught in that previous segment while they are still fresh in your mind. At the end of a session (3 hours) a final assignment will be distributed for continued self-paced practice between sessions. You will build a small eLearning project during this certificate to gain hands-on practice applying your new skills.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of computing concepts (zipping/unzipping files, cutting/pasting, etc.) is required. A basic understanding of eLearning is helpful. Who Should Attend: This certificate program is for non-programmers who wish to learn basic to intermediate authoring features of Articulate Storyline. Managers may also benefit from seeing the creation and development process so they may more accurately estimate course development time and cost.

After retiring from the Army as a trainer, Kevin earned a Technology Management degree in pursuit of an IT career. When his interest in technology mashed with his passion for visual design along with his experience in training, he founded NuggetHead Studioz, LLC. The Studioz is a custom design and development company providing services in instructional design, storyboarding, eLearning development, Articulate Storyline training, illustration, graphic design, storytelling, cartooning and comics.
Important: We will be using the latest version of Articulate Storyline for this course. You may use prior versions of Storyline, however, there will be some features that you will not be able to access if you are using an older version. If you already have previous version of Storyline installed, you can still participate in the course by downloading a 30-day trial of the latest version of Articulate Storyline at https://www.articulate.com/products/storyline-why.php no sooner than 1-2 days before the class so that the trial does not expire prior to completing the course and related homework assignments.
All versions of Articulate Storyline are independent of each other and all can be installed on the same computer. While the current version can support previous versions of software, they are not backward compatible. Each new version of Articulate Storyline has new features.

NOTE TO MAC USERS: Articulate Storyline is a Windows-based program. Currently there is no version specifically for a Mac. However, you can run Storyline on a Mac with Parallels, Boot Camp, or VMware Fusion virtual machine.
